Integration of TL Loyalty and Bonus Point

Bonus Point is a loyalty module for hotels that use the Fidelio Property Management System. Within the Bonus Point loyalty program, guests accumulate nights. Depending on the number of nights, the loyalty card provides a discount on bookings and loyalty points that can be used to pay for hotel services.

Thanks to the integration of TL Loyalty and Bonus Point, Bonus Point loyalty program members receive discounts on the hotel's website. The discounts depend on the guest's loyalty level. Guests can check the number of accumulated points in their personal accounts.


System Requirements

The integration requires:

  • Configured integration of the TravelLine Platform and Fidelio Suite 8;

  • One of the purchased licenses: WebConnect, XML Basic, or XML Advanced.

To configure it from the Fidelio side, the following steps need to be taken:

  • Set the translation tables for Card Type with the code BPS;

  • Specify the value of the MembershipNumber field in the guest profile matching rule.

 

How to set up the integration

1. Log in to the TravelLine Extranet and open the "Guest Management" menu section. There, go to the "Loyalty program" page, find "Bonus Point" and click "Connect":

The connection parameters will be displayed. The Bonus Point connection data will be copied from the connection parameters for the Fidelio PMS integration.

2. Once these settings are saved, go to the "Bonus Point" tab and add loyalty levels and discount percentages. For each level, select the corresponding loyalty level code in Bonus Point:

Loyalty cards are managed in the Fidelio PMS. There, you can set discount rules, link loyalty cards to guests, accumulate points, increase or decrease loyalty levels, etc.

3. For each discount level you add, the corresponding discount is automatically created in the Booking Engine in "Room Management" > "Promotions". When guests log in to their accounts in the Booking Engine, they receive a discount corresponding to their loyalty level.

How the booking process works on a hotel website

1. When a guest logs in to the account in the Booking Engine, they are asked to enter their phone number. The Fidelio PMS searches for the loyalty card associated with that phone number. Loyalty cards data is passed to TravelLine Platform every 15 minutes.

2. If the guest did not enter a phone number or if no loyalty card is found in Fidelio, the guest will not receive a discount. If a card is found, Fidelio passes information about the discount amount based on the linked loyalty level.

3. The guest receives the discount and makes a booking. The booking is sent to Fidelio and is recorded in the guest's loyalty card accumulations. The accumulated points can be spent directly at the hotel.
