Bookings from distribution channels connected to TravelLine Channel Manager sometimes are saved on the Platform at the default rate plan. You can find this information in the “Agent’s comment” section of the booking confirmation.
You need the default rate plan to make sure that bookings at rate plans that were not mapped in Channel Manager are saved on the TravelLine Platform. This happens in the following cases:
A booking was made at the rate plan that was not mapped with any rate in Channel Manager.
On the distribution channel, there is a special offer or promotion that is not available for mapping in Channel Manager.
To change the default rate plan for a channel, take the following steps:
1.Go to the “Channel Manager” menu section > the “Channel management” page.
2. Select the channel you need and open the “Channel settings” tab.
3. Find the “Channel settings” section. Go to the “Default rate plan” field and select the rate plan you need from the drop-down list. Then, click on the “Save” button at the top of the page.
The selected default rate plan will be indicated in the booking confirmation if the booking was made at the rate plan not mapped or a special offer/promotion not available for mapping in Channel Manager.
