TravelLine Price Optimizer can suggest price changes based on the seasonal demand changes. For example, in the months when the demand is high, you can set higher price rates than in the ordinary months, and even higher at the weekends. In TravelLine Price Optimizer, you can set demand seasons by setting different price levels.
Enable the meeting of seasonal demand
1. Go to the “Price Optimizer” > “Settings” > “Main settings”.
2. In the “Recommendations” tab, scroll to the “Demand season” section.
3. Select the “Enable” option.
4. Click on the “Save” button at the top of the page.
Create the demand seasons
Go to the “Price Optimizer” > “Settings” > “Demand seasons settings”. Open the “Create seasons” tab. Create the number of seasons you need and name them all.
Open the “Calendar seasons settings” tab. Pick dates that correspond to the demand seasons you created.
To select a date, take the following steps:
Select the date you need
In the appeared pop-up, select the “ Change value” option
In the window opened, select one of the seasons you created. Then, click on the “Apply” button.
You can select several dates at once. To do this, select the first date and drag to select the rest of the dates without dropping.
If you click on the month on the left, all the dates of the month are selected.
If you click on the day of the week at the top of the calendar, all the days below are selected.
If you selected some days by mistake, click on the “Unmark” option in the pop-up on the right.
Set recommendations
Go to the “Price Optimizer” > “Settings” > “Recommendations”. There, map the occupancy rates and price levels for different demand seasons.
Price levels in the “Without season” column are used for days when the season is not picked. This column is automatically filled out with price levels that were set before you enabled the demand seasons.
If you have set the “Room types” or the “Grouped room types‘ mapping mode, map occupancy rates to price levels for each room type.
