History and forecast report

The History and forecast report allows assessing the hotel’s performance in the past and its perspectives in the future.

The History and forecast report belongs to statistical reports. The data in the report is updated once per 24 hours, at 5 am.

The purpose of the report is to study the booking dynamic for the future.

In the report, you can find information on how many arrivals and departures there were and there are going to be, what are the expected revenue, average room cost, and the forecast and actual occupancy

Go to the report and select a period of time in the past if you want to study the past performance or in the future if you want to make a forecast. You can pick dates in the calendars at the top of the page.

The report is divided into two parts. In the first part, there is data confirmed in the system currently and in the past. In the second part, there is data helping to make a forecast based on the current performance.

By using the “Room type” filter, you can sort out the data and see the forecast only for the room types you need.

The following data is displayed in the report:

Date — the reporting date.

Room nights sold — how many rooms were/are going to be occupied on the reporting date.

Occupancy, % — the occupancy rate (in percent) on the reporting date.

Occupancy = (Rooms sold/Total number of rooms)*100%.

Arrivals — how many arrivals are supposed to happen on the reporting date.

Departures — how many departures are supposed to happen on the reporting date.

Revenue from stay — the metric that shows how much the hotel should get for the selected reporting period.

ADR — the average daily cost of stay at the selected rate plan during the selected reporting period.

ADR = Total amounts for stays during the selected reporting period/number of stays during the selected reporting period.

No-shows — the number of rooms marked as no-shows.

Repair — the number of rooms under repair.

Rooms under repair are not taken into consideration when calculating the hotel’s occupancy and RevPar.
