The cancellations window report displays the following data:
The average number of days between cancellation and arrival dates
How much money you lose because of cancellations
Bookings from which point of sale are cancelled the most within the selected period
The report is updated once per 24 hours, at 5 am.
How to generate the report
For the “Arrival dates”, select the time period within which guests were supposed to check in.
For the “Company type” filter, select customer company, agent company, or point of sale, if you want to see data valid only for one of the options.
Then, click on the “Apply filter” button.
There will appear the report displayed as a table.
To download the report on the desktop, click on the “Export to XLS” button.
What data are there
In the “Days left till arrival on the cancellation date” column, there is the number of days between the cancellation date and the arrival date. For example, if there is “0”, the booking was cancelled on the day of arrival; if it is “1”, the booking was cancelled a day before arrival, etc.
In the “Rooms cancelled” column, there is a number of rooms cancelled on the day of arrival, a day before arrival, and so on.
In the “Nights cancelled” column, there is a number of nights cancelled on the day of arrival, a day before arrival, and so on.
In the “Revenue lost” column, there is an amount that could have been earned if the bookings were not cancelled.
In the “Point of sale/Agent/Customer”, there is a number of cancelled bookings and the cancellation rate for bookings made on points of sale or by agent and customer companies.
Use this report in order to do the following:
Find out bookings from which point of sale are cancelled the most
See bookings from which point of sale are cancelled on the day of arrival
Fix the cancellation policy
