In the “Summary statistics” report, there are key hotel metrics.
What metrics are there
Different hospitality property types often use metrics featured in the “Summary statistics” report. Make use of this report to get up-to-date data in no time.
The report is updated as soon as you make an action in WebPMS. The data is calculated in the currency of your hotel at the currency rate of the check-in date. By default, the report is drawn for today.
You can select other dates for drawing the report. Choose a time period and click on the “Apply filter” button.
In the report, there are data on the following metrics:
Hotel occupancy percentage
Average room cost per night (ADR)
Average revenue per room (RevPAR)
Booked rooms per day
Revenue
Room revenue
F&B Revenue
Other revenue
Amount of extra services ordered
Number of guests
For several metrics, there are drop-down lists with room categories or extra services.
To expand the list with room categories / extra services, click on the “+” button next to the metric you need. There will open a drop-down list of categories / services. Beside every room category or extra service, you will see numbers for the selected period of time.
The report does not comprise bookings of rooms that you do not want. To leave it out, tick the “Ignore in statistics” box on the “Room inventory” page of Property management.
Click on the “Export to XLS” button to download the report in Excel.
How the report metrics are calculated
See the details on how the “Summary statistics” report metrics are calculated below:
Hotel occupancy percentage = (Room nights booked for the period / Overall number of room nights for the period) *100%
Average room cost per night (ADR) = (Revenue made from selling accommodation / Overall number of room nights booked)
Average revenue per room (RevPAR) = (Revenue made from selling accommodation / All the room nights available for booking)
Revenue = revenue made from providing accommodation + revenue made from extra services booked within the selected period
Room revenue = revenue made from providing accommodation in all the room categories + charges for early check-in and late check-out within the selected period — the cost of extra services included into the rate
F&B Revenue = the cost of all the services of the “Meal” type
Other revenue = the cost of all the other services + fines
Amount of extra services ordered = F&B Revenue + Other revenue
Number of guests = overall number of guests that stayed at the property during the selected period of time
